What Is This?

This is a free website offering a Western Zodiac calculator and Chinese Zodiac calculator. There are plenty of these on the internet and it isn't too hard to find several. Some are more detailed than this one, others are less so.

What was difficult to find was a calculator that was not on a website filled with spammy advertisements and other distractions. In other words, just the calculator. And an accurate calculator is also hard to find. Some calculators just assign each year an animal - however the new animal for each year does not correspond to January 1, making these inaccurate. 

Since i couldn't find an accurate, reliable calculator on a clean, ad-free, easy-to use website, I decided to make my own.

The way this works is simple - you choose a calendar, enter your birthdate, and it tells you what Chinese Zodiac or Western Zodiac sign and element you are. If you click on the button or the result, you get to see a neat image and read a bit more about your animal.

It's not magic and it doesn't pretend to be the one-stop shop for all your Western & Chinese Zodiac needs and curiousity. It is simply a calculator that does one thing, and one thing well.
